Social Sculpture

Social Sculpture - Another World Is Possible, A journey  through Chaotic state to state of Reform & Creativity

Human beings Can & Must learn to be creative in many different ways.
(Joseph Beuys)  (Joseph Beuys was a german artist who first gave the idea of social sculpture in 1960's)

"Social Sculpture is an expanded application of human creativity followed by
the broader definition of Art that would result in a conscious act of shaping of bringing some aspect of the society or the environment from a chaotic state into a state of form or structure.

Social sculpture is accomplished....
- Cooperatively,
- Creatively, and
- Across disciplines.

Everyone is an artist does not mean to suggest that all people should or could be creators of traditional artworks. Rather, it means that.....
One should not see creativity as the special realm of artists, but that everyone should apply creative thinking in their own area of specialization whether it be science, sport, agriculture, law, education, homemaking, or the fine arts.

The need to change or to reform is urgent as all around us the fundamentals of life are crying out to be shaped, or created.

The very idea of Social Sculpture illustrates
potential to transform society

Illusion of 4 Circles

 Four Circle Illusion

Perfectly separate four circles seem to intermingle into each other.
Wow!! gr8!!!

Have a closer look before reading further.

Now look at these 4 circles with another prospective....

Actually your inner conscious is weaving these perfectly separate 4 circles
to-gather, trying to make you understand that your Body, Mind, Heart and Soul must compliment each other.

Each full circle represents one of the factor - Body, Mind, Heart or Soul.

This is no Illusion, however your intelligence, which probably you have gained through your experience, is treating this as an Illusion and separating these 4 circles  of Body, Mind, Heart and Soul from each other.

Learn to gain Wisdom by listening the true voice of your inner conscious.
Do not Learn to gain Intelligence by experiencing deception and fall in the trap of such Illusions.
You might lost in the darkness.

Learn the Learning to be RIGHT.

PARADIGM

A PARADIGM is one that serves as a pattern.

Let’s see how a paradigm is formed.....?

Once upon a time a group of scientists placed five monkeys in a cage which had a ladder in middle with bananas on the top.

Every time when a monkey tried to climb up the ladder, the scientists soaked the rest of the monkeys with ice-cold water.
After a while whenever a monkey climbed up the ladder, the other monkeys beat up that monkey on the ladder.

After some time, no monkey dared to go up the ladder regardless of their very basic temptation to eat bananas.

Scientists then decided to substitute one of the monkeys.
The first thing this new monkey did was to go up the ladder, immediately the other monkeys beat him up.
After several beatings, the new monkey learned not to climb the ladder even though never knew why.

Then a second monkey was substituted and the same thing happened.
The first monkey also participated on the beating for the second monkey.
A third monkey was substituted and the same incidence of monkey beating was repeated. The fourth monkey was substituted and the beating was repeated and finally with the fifth substituted monkey same beating incidence was also repeated.

Now the group of five substituted monkeys that even though never received an ice-cold water shower, continued to beat up any monkey who attempted to climb the ladder.

Why did monkeys show this character...???
Probably each of monkey will say that “I don't know but that’s the system here."
A paradigm is formed here.
Does it sound familiar to you also?

Ask yourself why you continue to do what you are doing if there is a different way out there.

By adopting the different yet possible way of doing the old thing helps to innovate and recreate, and that’s the PARADIGM SHIFT.

Education-Knowledge-Wisdom leads us from ‘Untruth to Truth’‘Death to Deathlessness’ and ‘Dark to Light’

NECTAR-The Joy of Learning is happy to help you to form your own Paradigm shift.

CULTURAL INTELLIGENCE (CQ)

High Cultural Intelligence (CQ) is related to higher success at work place. Almost all those who struggle to build a successful career have low Cultural Intelligence (CQ). But the question is this "what is Cultural Intelligence (CQ)"?

The World as seen by one Prejudiced Mind. The World as seen by one Prejudiced Mind.

Cultural Intelligence (CQ) is “a person’s capability to function effectively in loving and respectful manner in situations of cultural diversity.”

Here are the twenty-four ways to build Cultural Intelligence (CQ)......
  1. Reading, particularly from authors of different cultural backgrounds and books on subjects different from our own experience.
  2. Watching movies can help transform the way we see the other cultures and languages.
  3. Eating foods from other places with people from those places can open up a new world of experience.
  4. Writing a journal can help us become more aware of self, others and our surroundings.
  5. Learning another language allows us to see the world differently and communicate with others.
  6. Attending cultural celebrations through experience and/or participation, help to learn.
  7. Visiting different worship places help to understand roots of beliefs and behaviors of the other groups.
  8. Be informed about current affairs.
  9. Look for the invisible and read in between the lines. Universally accepted way is the Best WayUniversally accepted way is the Best Way
  10. Study the scripture with people from varied cultural perspectives to understand the roots of their faith.
  11. Always do some work with (not for) the “oppressed.”
  12. Must anticipate the impact of the words which are used.
  13. Speak slowly.
  14. Observe body language. Communicate and receive by nonverbal means too.
  15. Try mimicry under prescribed mannerism to help understand other culture.
  16. Find a cultural guide, a book or an experience person.
  17. Formal education provides cross cultural understanding.
  18. Join culturally diverse groups to observe the behavior of culturally different individuals in the same context.
  19. Visit overseas to examine other cultures in-person, while observing our own from a distance.
  20. Attend the wedding ceremony of someone from another culture.
  21. Read the local paper, Not national daily, when traveling.
  22. Spend some time in the local grocery store, shopping mall. Local ShoppingLocal Shopping
  23. Look for ways to experience life with people who see the world differently.
  24. Ask lots of questions to seek answer and then listen hard.
One must feel happy to help you develop 'CQ'-a key for higher success.
